ooh great list— subscribing to a bunch of these folks now! i’m also a femme (who loves femmes) and i’ve been called feisty a time or two. i’d recommend my friend Samantha Rosenthal’s newsletter 700/14 as well!
Have you tried JoJo From Jerz or the I've had it (IHIT) gals? These women are the fiestiest! I also like Kerry Chaput and her Badass Women in History, as well as Goddess Mia. Not to mention, Celly Blue, Jess Craven (Chop Wood, Carry Water), and Kristen Stafford.
Hi Lynda, and thanks for writing! I am following JoJo and should've included her in the original list. But I'm not following the rest... yet! I'm off to do so now (and I'm following you as well). Thanks so much!
Don't remember if they were on your list, but if not, please give Rosie the Resister, and Katie Phang a look. Also, he's not a woman or even Trans, but I just love Luke's Last Brain Cell. It's reminds me somehow of Linkn Park, my favorite go-to, angry old lady's music.
Of course! One of these days I'm gonna convince you to come on The Daily Whatever Show. I could spend the entire hour explaining everything brilliant about the final five words in the hard mango video you just posted.
My 17yo just quoted them back to me over the weekend (damn Trader Joes and their non-ripening mangoes) and I about died with maternal pride.
It's a HUGE honor to be included in such amazing company! I can't thank you enough for the support and the shout-out! Happy to chat with you whenever! xx
Yep! Substack has awakened my word skills like nothing else for a very long time. And every day I seem to be making more Substackationships! I’ve not been this mentally stimulated for decades. Nor have I ever enjoyed this quality of correspondence before. I cannot think what I would do if the kleptocracy somehow destroyed Substack - it is barely known across the Pond and I wish it would find bases around the world in liberal jurisdictions where freedom of speech is strong still.
i haven’t posted anything yet, i plan on writing about intersectional feminism, geopolitics, occasional case studies about things that catch my interest. video essays, photo essays, just a lot going on in the cauldron inside my skull at the moment, but i would definitely love to be a part of this movement. :)
I don't know about setting the world on fire, but I'm definitely feisty and femme. And amongst the copious fiction, I do toss out the occasional flame.
You inspire me too!
Oh my gosh lady ME TOOOOO!!!

Thank you!!! I appreciate you for the tag!
I am so honored to be mentioned alongside you!! You consistently make me laugh - one jewish gal to another <3
I'm a Jewish gal too--why are so many of the amazing women here on Substack Jewish?? I can't say but I'm here for it.

"Substackationship" is an amazing word and I'm assuming you coined it? ;)

Thanks! I don't see any posts yet, jesterpilled! What will you be writing or podcasting about? I'll all kinds of down with androgyny. :)

Love your videos Auntie Dana! Let me know if you ever wanna chill & chat.
Aww, hiya Rina! I love that you called me Auntie Dana, and I'm now following you. Thanks!
Omg THANK YOU this was so sweet. I love Jacqueline Dooley. And I have to highly recommend: Transtrender, Virginia Weaver, and Dr. Rachel Kupferman
Oh my gosh, Jackie is simply one of the best memoir writers I've ever read. I'm so glad you read her as well--she's incredible!
I haven't read the others but am off to follow them now...
