We’d say Happy Monday, but really, it’s a bit of a rough morning.
and I are both feeling varying shades of sadness and anger. The news about President Biden is hitting a lot of us hard, and we’re trying to wrap that into the overall narrative about his cognitive decline occurring earlier than we knew, and the general state of the world underThe truth is—I wrote my article about the Democrats yesterday, and as I was editing in the evening, the news broke about Biden’s cancer diagnosis. I almost didn’t post the article.
Except my whole point here is that we need to do two or more hard things at once. Process the news about Biden, lead generational change in the party, and focus like a laser on stopping Trump in his tracks. (Side note: I’ve decided to strike through Trump’s name every time I have to type it; it’s like a little cancellation spell I’m casting every time. 😉)
Democrats, You’re Doing It Wrong. Again.
We’re four months into Trump’s second term, and the Democratic Party is still sleepwalking through a national emergency.
