The Daily Whatever, June 16: Weekend Review & Human Sovereignty

Almost too much to talk about from the weekend, and help me co-create Human Sovereignty

Keeping this writeup short, Chat! It was a jam-packed episode, with so much to cover from the weekend.

We talked about the assassination of MN lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, and the attempted assassination of State Senator of John Hoffman and his wife—and the sheer lack of surprise that the gunman was a disgruntled MAGA fool.

The No Kings protests were huge, and Trump’s parade was bust. Meanwhile…Israel and Iran are trying to wipe each other off the map. Kiss your ass goodbye, maybe?

We wrapped up talking about my piece on what I hope is a new broad-based movement:

Politics

Human Sovereignty: A Moral Movement Against Autocracy

Human Sovereignty: A Moral Movement Against Autocracy

In this moment in the country, it doesn’t seem possible to have missed the changes that are happening under this administration. You have undoubtedly felt that something is deeply wrong in the United States, even if you are afraid to articulate it.

I’d love to co-create this idea with this group—comment, share, restack, and critique. I know I have blind spots, and what I want is something we can put out into the world to create something new.

As always, we love the Chat!

Thank you
