Frederic Poag is one of the best humans we’ve had the pleasure to meet on Substack.
And for good reason. Frederic has wise words about this political moment in time. He’s also a staunch feminist and ally, using his substantial online blast radius to champion for women and marginalized groups.
Simply stated: Frederic is awesome.
So when we saw him getting grief for a Note he posted about asking a woman out in a cafe, we knew we had to bring him onto The Daily Whatever to talk about it.
What resulted wasn’t just a discussion about the Note. It became a conversation about dating, social norms, feminism, incel culture, mentoring young men, the lack of nuance in online communities, and the right to privacy and boundaries as content creators—and much more.
This might have been our best The Daily Whatever yet.
We ended up staying on for 90 minutes because we had so much to talk about.
