Hey, music & liberal persons: I'm in the infamous hotbed of liberality and musicality, Oberlin. A place my kid is SAFER than likely anywhere else in this country now.
HAHAHAHAHAHA, not even close!!! Talk about a misinterpretation in the extreme.
Holy shit, that's a new one!!!
A few years ago there was a mishegas between the school and a local store, a lawsuit, lotta press for the famous abolitionist town/college/culture, here. We're a punchline for RWNJs, for real. BIG SJW culture all around.
Read about it, the Oberlin-Wellington Rescue and the Town that Started the Civil War. I was raised in the Civil Rights movement, nearby before moving out west before high school. Ohio is hard but Oberlin is an oasis.
NOW I need to find Dana's thingy for Moms of our gender-exceptional spawn! I have only one babby, now 18, and love connecting with other parents of our ilk. Am a 2nd gen ally.
Aww, thanks! Many are my own, but some are my great-aunt's. She had a complete set of Encyclopedia Britannica and Yearbooks. I boxed them up, as they're cool to have around, but not so practical anymore. lol

Really… that’s a school my eldest was considering but her counselor told her there were racist rallies going on there…?

LOVE the bookshelves, overflowing, used, loved. I was married in a library-former Unitarian tiny-church 🥰

I swear I'm going to purge, after moving into our house 17 yrs ago; no, really LOL.
I KNOW I know your name/persona from the internet/something, Brandon.
I'm going to figure it out.
Also: technical-still-husband's from Columbia. Alot better apparently than much of MO, lately. I wish you'd been in a kinder place.
I was writing (kinda still am) on Medium before I came here.
