Yes. And as you say, we can do this peacefully. We are demonstrating for freedom, we're not protesting. The villains are on their side. We won't let them change history. Thanks for writing!

Regarding general strikes to bring the economy to a halt, there are no unions in my line of work. I’m not even salary. If I skipped work to protest I would get fired probably. I imagine a lot of people are in a similar boat. How do we proceed?

Friend, I've been yelling about a general strike forEVER, seems like. I don't see it coming. And it makes me very sad.

We can keep going on the streets, though. More and more and MORE. And a lot of other actions: court fights neverending, strategic moves of all sorts by private & public individuals, making it loud. Fight these motherfuckers, non-violently, every day. I was raised IN the Civil Rights Movement, goddamn it, and they will not make me abandon those principles. Because they WORK.

Noem said:

“Often times in these cities, you have good leaders that help give back up to other law enforcement officers, but you have politicians who won’t give that kind of resource when it’s needed, unfortunately, waiting several hours for LAPD to show up.”

In response a question about the US attorney in Los Angeles telling CBS that Los Angeles police did help, Noem pushed back and said:

“They waited until we had officers in dangerous situations, then they responded.”

Noem then went on to urge demonstrators to “go to Congress and change” laws instead of protesting on the streets.
