Loved this. So much joy and warmth came pouring out from you both. As a boomer (second decade), I got so many insights about the chasm between my educational and career experience and gen x on forward. By necessity, I think you are much stronger than I ever had to be.

Thank you for all you do! We had an interesting conversation about handling social media and online risks for 10-year-olds, inspired by a recent “Anonymous News” video (Dec 27, 2025) alleging Trump-Epstein ties and exploitation in Miss Teen USA—like backstage intrusions, power imbalances, and grooming signs. Besides that, Jack Smith’s newly released deposition transcript (Dec 31, 2025) confirms “proof beyond a reasonable doubt” of Trump’s “criminal scheme to overturn the 2020 election” and willful retention of classified docs at Mar-a-Lago (even in a ballroom and bathroom) while obstructing justice—claims not protected by the 1st Amendment due to fraud, though Republicans call it political, with Trump demanding Smith’s prosecution.

Key points:

• Schools: Ban social media or teach risks? Need parental consent for materials like this video (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=k6JCPWLG-lk), or mainly parents’ role?

• Favor education over shielding: Show kids self-worth isn’t in likes/shares, promote outdoor fun to limit screens, and foster open talks by explaining rules’ “why” (e.g., bad language harms relationships) vs. scares.

• Life’s unpredictable, so build resilience, boundaries, consent, and danger-spotting—like the video’s and deposition’s examples of power abuse. Karma often catches up.

• No wrong way to start convos—no one warned about AOL chats or eternal online posts lol—just trust your gut, stay honest/open; kids will thank you 🫶🏼✨.

Thoughts? How do you tackle this? All views welcome!

Magic and glimmer for sure! I really enjoyed this. I also think that it is possible to apply rigor to kindness. When you feel yourself going mean or negative, get rigorous about being kind insteadl.
