When I was younger my grandmother used to drive my brother and me around. Whenever a light would turn green we would say, Green, Granny, go! Thanks for jogging my memory this way too.
I resonate so much with your writing. I too have been debating with myself if my peaceful, creative but oh so busy little life is missing some spice. The idea of going back on a dating app is a major obstacle though. I’m looking forward to reading more about how your story unfolds. Perhaps it’ll nudge me in a certain direction:)
It's not exactly synesthesia but your situations reminds me of a traffic light - it's yellow now. If it turns green I hope it takes you where you want to go!
Dana, there is so much I want to say about your striving as an author and your desire to be loved as a woman without any obstacles. What I can say is that you've managed to keep striving and surviving, and wanting to be loved as the woman you are and deserve to be! Thank you for sharing your journey with us. ❤️
It's a long story, but the short answer is that what felt very real when we weren't in person didn't survive at all once we actually met. I don't think it means that's always the case, though.
Good luck, Dana! I know people who have made marriages from meeting online! One day at a time, enjoy the connection. I loved reading about it :)
I’m one of those people! My marriage ended, but my ex-husband and I are great coparents and friends. He’s my family.
Thanks for reading and for your kind words! 💜

Perhaps it will. I have loads of stories about it and maybe will write one called “advice for those considering online dating” next,
Inspired by this comment. 😊

I've experienced this, and it's heady and exhilarating. I hope yours works out better than mine!
Oh dear. What happened with yours?

We’re going to be talking about my story (and this general phenomenon) tomorrow on The Daily Whatever Show on @GenXy. You should join us!
I'll try!
Unfortunately, it overlaps with my work hours, but if I can I'll be there.
